Overview

With the rising awareness of issues around mental health, well-being, inequality and disasters, social workers have become an increasingly valued part of society. In these challenging time, social workers are more than ever in demand as providers of services, support, care, recovery and resilience.

Students will be well placed to add significant social, cultural and economic value to society through critical activities in social work (such as the development of charities and NGOs) and advocating for policies and practices that encourage the fair allocation of resources. Integrated field education is a core component of the BSW course, involving 1,000 hours of experience in work placements.

*Provisional accreditation does not impact graduates of a course with this status. Graduates have the same eligibility and standing as graduates of fully accredited programs.
