The Sydney Met Staff Code of Conduct details the behavioral expectations for employees towards students, colleagues, supervisors, and the organisation. A code of conduct policy outlines the appropriate behaviour employees are expected to follow in the workplace. It emphasises open communication, professionalism, respect, and adherence to legislation and policies, while also outlining potential disciplinary actions for violations.
Sydney Met is founded on the belief in a positive, productive and open culture. We are committed to maintaining and promoting integrity, honesty, trust, respect, collaboration and diversity. Our employees work together to achieve high-quality student experiences and engagement, teaching, and research to create transformative learning experience that has social impacts.
This Code of Conduct and Values applies to all members of the Sydney Met community. We are all accountable for our actions and for meeting the principles and responsibilities of this Code. If we see something that does not align with this Code or the law, we speak up as we are active participants and support one another.
Sydney Met's campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia and Indigenous peoples globally who are presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
