Dean’s Office

The Dean’s Office supports the Executive Dean in providing strategic and academic leadership across Sydney Met’s Academic Division. The Office coordinates academic governance, planning, administration, course development, accreditation, quality assurance and continuous improvement. It also supports the effective operation of key academic committees, including the Board of Examiners, Teaching and Learning Committee, Research and Scholarship Committee, Course Review Committee, Course Advisory Committees and Course Development Committees, helping to maintain the quality and integrity of Sydney Met’s academic activities.

Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Office

The Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Office supports excellence and continuous improvement in teaching, curriculum and assessment across Sydney Met. Led by the Associate Dean Teaching and Learning, the Office works with academic schools and staff to support course and unit development, curriculum renewal, assessment design, learning resources, academic development and innovative teaching practices. Its work ensures that Sydney Met’s courses are academically rigorous, student-centred, industry-informed and aligned with regulatory and professional standards.

Research, Scholarship and Innovation Office

The Research, Scholarship and Innovation Office leads and supports research, scholarly activity, innovation and enterprise across Sydney Met. Led by the Associate Dean Research and Scholarship, the Office assists staff and students to build research capability, undertake applied and collaborative research, share scholarly outcomes and engage with industry, professional bodies and the wider community. Through its Research and Scholarship Hub and Start-Up Hub, the Office promotes innovation, entrepreneurship and the integration of research and scholarship into teaching and learning.

Student Placement, Civic Engagement and Leadership Office

The Student Placement, Civic Engagement and Leadership Office supports students to develop professional capability, leadership skills and social responsibility through practical and community-based learning. The Office coordinates placements, internships, work-integrated learning, civic engagement, volunteering and leadership opportunities across Sydney Met. Working with academic schools, employers, industry partners and community organisations, it helps students apply their knowledge in real-world settings and strengthen their employability, professional networks and contribution to the wider community.
