Vision

To be Australia's leader in education for change.

Sydney Met is driven to provide transformative educational opportunities that are responsive to the changing needs of our culturally diverse students, enabling them to realise their full potential and nurturing them into future leaders to tackle challenges and generate transformative impacts as active participants in shaping a better world.

Mission

To create a transformative educational experience for students through culturally engaged and socially responsible learning, scholarship and research in real-world settings. Sydney Met will work together with students, graduates, educators, and stakeholders to translate the agenda of ‘Education for Change’ and advance actions for progressive social change within diverse communities in Australia, the Asia Pacific, and the world.

We also promote equity and justice in the wider world in our commitment to disadvantaged and marginalised communities.

Acknowledgement of Country

Sydney Met's campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia and Indigenous peoples globally who are presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
