Sydney Metropolitan Institute of Technology (Sydney Met) is a leading higher education institute in Australia that responds to the need for a new culture in Australian higher education. At Sydney Met, students are not just numbers in our system. We recognise that each student has unlimited potential to contribute towards positive change and thus we place students at the centre of everything we do. As such, each student is provided with a unique, practical skill building, culturally flexible and socially committed learning experience.
Sydney Met focuses on socially responsible, culturally engaged, and high-quality education, which sets us apart from other providers. We value diversity and aims to help students develop their personal and professional skills, while deepening their understanding of the world. We foster creativity and excellence through a variety of unique opportunities for students to develop their characters and deepen their knowledge.
Sydney Met offers Bachelor and Master degrees in Social Work, Information Technology and Business (Entrepreneurship). All our courses are accredited by the Australian higher education regulator, Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), and registered with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
We aspire to become a college known for its high-quality education and culturally engaged teaching practice. We nurture students into future leaders to tackle challenges and generate transformative impacts as active participants in shaping a better world. We have a strong set of values to guide our decision-making. We are responsive and responsible to diverse cultures, contexts and communities.
The campus is near Town Hall Station in the Sydney CBD and is easily accessible from around Sydney. In fact, our campus is in the heart of Sydney city, only a few-minute walk from train, light-rail and bus stations, meaning you will have no problem coming to and leaving the campus.

Sydney Met's campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia and Indigenous peoples globally who are presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
