The Sydney Met Student Handbooks provide essential information and practical guidance to help you make the most of the opportunities available during your time at Sydney Met. They also serve as the official source for Sydney Met’s codes, regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring you are well informed about your rights, responsibilities, and the standards expected of all students.
Designed as a clear and accessible guide, the Student Handbooks bring together key information for both domestic and international students. They cover course requirements, class timetables, tuition fees and refunds, academic policies, and available support services. You will find guidance on starting your studies, including orientation, using learning platforms such as Moodle and MySydneyMet, and navigating assessments, grading, and course progression. The handbooks also outline student rights and responsibilities, such as the code of conduct, academic integrity expectations, and policies on leave, deferment, suspension, or cancellation of enrolment.
Beyond academic matters, the Student Handbooks offer practical advice on accommodation, employment, cultural adjustment, transport, and financial management. They also direct you to sources of help—whether you need academic advice, wellbeing support, legal guidance, or access to emergency services.
Sydney Met's campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia and Indigenous peoples globally who are presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
