Head of Student Experience and Registrar

Richard William Joseph is a senior higher education leader with close to two decades of experience spanning both university and private higher education sectors in Australia and internationally. Throughout his career, he has successfully led strategic initiatives focused on student success, institutional growth, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Richard’s expertise encompasses the full student lifecycle, including admissions, student engagement, wellbeing, retention, academic support, and graduate outcomes. He has held leadership roles across student experience, campus operations, governance, and institutional management, developing and implementing innovative approaches that enhance both student outcomes and organisational performance.

Recognised for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement, Richard brings a strong strategic and global perspective to higher education. He is deeply passionate about the student experience and is committed to creating supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environments that empower students to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.

Through a combination of systems thinking, data-informed decision-making, and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, Richard continues to contribute to the advancement of higher education and the delivery of meaningful educational experiences for diverse student communities.
